About Me

I’m Marie, a Texas girl who married my college sweetheart, David, who, in turn, took us on a journey through several Texas cities, Colorado, and finally planted us in Ohio. During our sojourn we were blessed with four biological children (three daughters and one son) and one adopted son.

Currently I’m a retired intervention specialist (read – special education teacher), aspiring to successfully manage our 31-acre “farm”, and suffering from a mild identity crisis, er, dilemma.

I am a Jesus-follower. I get a kick out of running, creating things with fabric and yarn, making and listening to music, and spending crazy times with my children and their families. Our little farm currently consists of a big garden, thirty-something blueberry bushes, four rows of raspberries, a twelve-tree orchard, fifteen hens of assorted breeds, and a sugar bush.
